Swin Cash
Swin Cash

Swin Cash's full first name, Swintayla, means "astounding woman," and throughout her basketball career Cash has proven to be just that. At virtually every level, success has followed Cash. She won two NCAA Championships at UConn, and won the WNBA Finals twice with Detroit, in both 2003 and 2006. In between, Cash helped the U.S. Olympic team to gold in Athens. 2004 was Cash's best season, as she averaged 16.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game before tearing her ACL late in the season. Off the court, Cash is active in the community through her foundation, "Cash for Kids," and has worked as an NBA analyst for ESPN. Cash joined the Storm in a trade on Feb. 19, 2008. After battling back problems during her first season in Seattle, Cash underwent surgery and returned with a strong 2009 campaign, highlighted by a record 22 points in the All-Star Game that earned Cash MVP honors.
