From: Poland Drafted: Not Drafted
Upon joining the Storm in June 2011, Ewelina Kobryn became the fourth Polish player in WNBA history, joining Agneiszka Bibrzycka, the late Margo Dydek and Krystana Lara. While Kobryn is new to the WNBA, she's been playing the game at its highest levels internationally for years. Kobryn is one of the stars of the Polish National Team, which she led in both scoring and rebounding during EuroBasket 2011 before joining the Storm. She's also played alongside and against WNBA stars in Euroleague action with Wisla Can-Pack Krakow. The Washington Mystics and New York Liberty took notice of Kobryn, inviting her to training camp in recent seasons before she landed with the Storm. A versatile post, Kobryn has the ability to play either frontcourt position.
