The Seattle Storm had a special stop on the East Coast as part of a three-game road trip. On Wednesday, June 29, Storm players, coaches, staff and owners visited the White House to be honored by President Barack Obama as 2010 WNBA champions. After a tour, the group was unexpectedly invited into the Oval Office to chat casually with the president. Afterward, the Storm contingent took places for a ceremony on the Rose Garden lawn, where President Obama hailed the team as winners on the court and in the community. Following pictures with the group, Sue Bird and Swin Cash presented the president with a pair of gifts - a No. 10 Storm jersey (symbolizing the Storm's victory in 2010) and one of the team's championship rings from Blue Nile Diamond.
