    On getting a road win:
We lost six in a row, but we had some unusual circumstances on some of those games. When we get a chance to prepare, we usually play a lot better. I think we're moving in the right direction. Defensively we have a lot of versatile defenders.

    On Lauren Jackson's performance:
She's a great player. She has a tremendous work ethic and she has the total package. There are only a few men and a few women who have the total package in the leagues and she's definitely one of them.

    On winning in Sacramento:
We've been dying for a road win. It's very hard to win here. We knew coming in that it was going to be a really hard game. At one point we looked up at the scoreboard and the score was kind of surprising. You just never expect that coming to ARCO. I'm just really happy to win on the road. We actually outrebounded them. So for us to kind of keep them under wraps in terms of offensive rebounds in the first half was very important. They got some good looks and missed, but we didn't give them second shots and that's when we kind of created our own offensive opportunities.

    On returning to Sacramento:
I think the preseason game kind of prepped me for tonight. I'm a professional and I know how important it is for us to get this victory. I know who I'm playing for and I know what I need to do. It was great being here in Sacramento for nine years and now I represent the Storm. I play defense, I play hard and I act as the leader like I need to be and that's what I'm doing now for Seattle.

    On the Storm's play:
Our confidence right now and the way we're playing on the defensive end is because we feel like we're number one. We're doing the things that we didn't do in the beginning of the season, and things that we didn't do when we were in San Antonio and Houston. We're doing all the little things. We're helping each other. Defense wins games and that's our purpose, play defense and let the offense come. We're not going to pressure ourselves. We have great players on our team that can score.

    On the loss:
We are just going to try to put our heads together but try not to overanalyze. I never question their heart or their effort but we took a heartbreaking loss in San Antonio and it just looks like we haven't fully recovered yet. We didn't play well tonight, I don't think you can look at a single stat that we did well in tonight.

We are just going to try to get that edge back because we looked a little dazed and a bit stunned.

    On the Storm:
The coaching staff is doing a great job. I've coached Sue and Lauren and they have grown beautifully. I think the difference is he's got them playing really hard defense now, when they may not have played that way in previous years.

    On the game:
I just didn't think we played defense the way we need to play it. We know we have to pick our defense up; we can't continue to play like this.

    On the poor shooting night:
We are not a team that is based off of offense, so it shouldn't bother us. Shots are going to fall sometimes and sometimes they aren't, but we can't allow that to affect our defense. We should never allow our offense to affect our defense.

    On the upcoming homestand:
We just have to get past this, we have a lot of tough games coming up and some tough teams coming in, so we need to get past this one and ready for the next one.

    On the game:
It's a hard one, but it's something that we can't focus on. We are going to correct some things because our next game is two days away. It's disappointing but not discouraging at all.
