April 17, 2013

SEATTLE - Seattle Storm Head Coach and General Manager Brian Agler announced the addition of Katelan Redmon and Keisha Hampton to the 2013 training camp roster.

Redmon, a 6-1 guard/forward out of Gonzaga, was drafted 36th overall by the New York Liberty last year, appearing in seven games. She played in Israel this winter where she averaged 10.5 points per game.

Hampton is a 6-2 forward from DePaul. She was drafted 22nd overall by the Storm, but did not attend training camp last year. This winter she played in Latvia and averaged 17.4 points per game.

We are looking forward to having Keisha in camp, finally, Agler said. She had a very decorated career at DePaul so we are looking to see how that transfers to the Storm.

Katelan played both at Gonzaga and spent time with the Liberty, he added. We anticipate her competing for a roster spot.

Seattle previously signed guards Temeka Johnson and Noelle Quinn and forward Nakia Sanford to free agent contracts and also announced the return of forward Alysha Clark and the addition of Chay Shegog and Cierra Bravard to the 2013 training camp roster.

The Storm opens the 2013 season on the road at L.A. on May 26. The home opener is June 2 vs. Phoenix.
