Storm Signs Guard/Forward La'Tangela Atkinson

September 9, 2009
- Seattle Storm head coach and director of player personnel Brian Agler announced today the signing of 6-1 guard/forward La'Tangela Atkinson for the remainder of the 2009 WNBA regular season because of the Storm’s active roster dropping below nine players.

“We are happy to have La'Tangela rejoin this team,” said Agler. “She should have a direct impact on this roster and provide depth for us.”

The Bishopville, S.C. native was added to the 2009 Storm training camp roster on May 7. She played one preseason game for Seattle, scoring five points, grabbing four rebounds, handing out four assists and picking up two steals in 16 minutes vs. Sacramento on May 21. The Storm waived Atkinson on May 31, 2009.
