Instead of a game-winning shot, Sue Bird came up with a game-saving steal to preserve Saturday's 63-62 win over the New York Liberty. Bird stripped Essence Carson as time ran out, giving the Storm the win in Lauren Jackson's return from hip surgery. Jackson scored a game-high 20 points.
