Silver Stars to Host Sparks at Freeman Coliseum on Sept. 29

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Silver Stars announced today a change in venue – from the AT&T Center to the Freeman Coliseum – for Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Due to the sold-out Red Hot Chili Peppers concert previously scheduled at the AT&T Center on Saturday evening, San Antonio will host the Los Angeles Sparks in the Freeman Coliseum on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m.

“The Freeman Coliseum has hosted thousands of events throughout the years and we will make every effort to provide fans with the best possible game day experience, just like we do at every Silver Stars game,” said Rick Pych, President of Business Operations for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “As always we appreciate our fans support and look forward to a great afternoon of WNBA Basketball at the Freeman Coliseum.”

All previously distributed tickets and parking will be honored. Silver Stars season ticket holders will receive further communication via email and can contact a Silver Stars representative at (210) 444-5090.

Tickets start at $8 with lower level seats available for $20. Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling (210) 444-5090. Kids 12-years old and under will receive free admission with the purchase of any adult ticket at the AT&T Center Southwest Box Office. Fans will also enjoy $1 soft drinks and $1 hot dogs.

Located adjacent to the AT&T Center, the Freeman Coliseum is a community owned sports and entertainment venue. Built in 1949, the Freeman Coliseum has hosted a wide variety of events, including the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, concerts, trade shows, motor sports, circus, bull riding, basketball, hockey, boxing and wrestling. The arena has a capacity of 9,000 for basketball.
