Silver Stars Raise $41,200 in Breast Health Awareness Auction
SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Silver Stars raised $41,200 in support of Breast Health Awareness by way of their annual jersey auction following the team’s victory against the Tulsa Shock on Saturday, Aug. 25 at the AT&T Center. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Systems Mobile Mammography Unit (MMU) and Silver & Black Give Back.
Each Stars player auctioned her game-worn pink-accented jersey in a live postgame auction. Two players – Danielle Adams and Tully Bevilaqua – helped raise more than $3,000 apiece, while Becky Hammon added bonus gear to raise $15,000. Head coach and general manager Dan Hughes auctioned his game-worn pink tie and the opportunity for the highest bidder to have a play in the Silver Stars postseason playbook named after them.
Tickets for all Silver Stars home games are available now with lower level seats starting at $11. Visit www.sasilverstars.com or call (210) 444-5090 for more information.
