Sky Sign Center Warley; Zoll-Norman Waived

The Sky announced Wednesday the waiving of reserve point guard Sharneé Zoll-Norman and the signing of Avery Warley. Warley will join the team immediately as the Sky’s reserve center.

On August 3, Warley temporarily signed with the Sky as a replacement player while Carolyn Swords and Zoll-Norman’s recovered from injury. During her 11 games with the Sky she averaged 1.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. She set season highs in rebounds (8), minutes (18) and blocks (3) during this period.

After starting the 2013 season at the Washington Mystics’ training camp, Warley signed with the New York Liberty where she played eight games. During her time at the Liberty she averaged 3.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Zoll-Norman, a 5-7 guard, was signed to the Sky as a free agent on February 18. She played in 19 games during the 2013 season, missing 12 after breaking her thumb against the Washington Mystics on July 24. This season, Zoll-Norman set career highs in points (6), steals (2), field goals (3) and minutes (21).
