Tamera Young has led an excellent backcourt as part of her UNINASSAU/America Brazil-LBF team as they have won both of their quarterfinal matchups. America barely escaped Pres. Valceslau in a 62-60 win in their first game of the series. Young scored 16 points and had 2 rebounds. She followed up with an impressive double-double scoring 13 points and contributing 10 rebounds to complete the series sweep. Young averaged 14.7 points and 4.6 rebounds on the year. Fellow WNBA starter Tiffany Hayes of the Atlanta dream is now leading the team at the point guard position on a deep playoff run. She is averaging 16.9 points and 2.2 assists on the year. The team�s next opponent has not yet been determined.

Tamera Young played an excellent regular season for UNINASSAU/AMERICA in the Brazllian LBF. Young averaged 14.7 points and 4.5 rebounds providing an important presence in the backcourt at the small forward position. Young had a double-double in their last regular season game, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a 85-53 win over Recife. The team finished with a 16-2 record as the second best team in Brazil. The team is now awaiting their first quarter final matchup against Pres. Valceslau today.

On March 14, Young�s UNINASSAU/America team easily defeated RECIFE 85-53 in the regular season finale. Young started, scoring seven points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Erika De Souza of the WNBA�s Atlanta Dream led all scorers with 22 points and 11 rebounds while her Atlanta teammate Tiffany Hayes scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in the win.

Young�s UNINASSAU/America continues a great year going into the final stretch of the regular season. Young and fellow WNBA player Tiffany Hayes of the Atlanta Dream have made considerable contributions on the offensive end. While Hayes averages 18.6 points on the season, Young adds 14.8 points and 4.2 rebounds. UNINASSAU/America is currently in first place with a 15-2 record. The team defeated Jaragua 103-66 on March 4th to continue their three-game winning streak. Young had 16 points and 3 rebounds in the win. The team will go on to closeout the season on march 14th against fifth placed Recife. Tamera Young and Clarissa dos Santos participated in the Brazilian League All-Star game over the weekend. Young finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds & 2 steals while dos Santos collected 27 points, 17 rebounds and 3 steals to earn MVP honors.

Tamera Young's UNINASSAU/America team dropped a game to Americana on February 21. Young delivered 18 points and 9 rebounds despite her team's 86-81 loss. UNINASSAU returns to action next Thursday night.

Tamera Young�s UNINASSAU/America team extended its undefeated Brazilian League streak to 10 last week with a pair of dominating wins over Brasilia. In the teams� first meeting on January 26th, Young tallied 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal to help her team to a 112-54 win. Tiffany Hayes contributed 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in the game, and Erika de Souza added 16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Nadia Calhado delivered 9 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal for UNINASSAU. When the teams met again on January 31st, Young came through with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, as UNINASSAU soared to a 111-46 victory. Calhado led UNINASSAU with a 29-point, 15-rebound double-double, while Hayes scored 19 points with 11 rebounds. Next up, UNINASSAU will face Maranhao later today and Sao Jose on February 7th.

The team�s second game of the week was just as impressive, as UNINASSAU soared to a 93-53 win over Maranhao on January 24th. Young came through with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 blocks and a team-high 6 steals, while Erika de Souza led the offense with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Tamera Young and her UNINASSAU/America team returned from a 21-day holiday break this week with a pair of Brazilian League games. In its first game back on January 7th, UNINASSAU took a 72-53 win over Santo Andre as Young poured in 17 points with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Tiffany Hayes led the team�s offense with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals, while Erika de Souza grabbed a team-high 17 rebounds and put in 13 points. Nadia Calhado added 4 points and 9 rebounds in the win. The team�s second game of the week was equally impressive, as Tamera Young tallied 17 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals to help her team to a 93-55 victory against Jaragua. Hayes was once again the high scorer with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists, while Calhado contributed 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. De Souza delivered 7 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals as the team improved to 5-0 on the season. Next up, UNINASSAU/America will face Americana on January 11th.

Tamera Young helped her UNINASSAU/America team to a 80-65 win over Pres. Valceslau on December 17th, tallying 20 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a team-high 5 steals. Tiffany Hayes led UNINASSAU�s offense with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, while Erika de Souza contributed 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Nadia Colhado rounded out the team�s WNBA core with 1 rebound in limited minutes. After winning its third straight game, the team remains undefeated on the season and will take a long holiday break before returning to action on January 7th against Santo Andre.

Through the first two games of the season with UNINASSAU/America, Tamera Young leads her team with 14.0 points per game. UNINASSAU/America won its second straight game to open the season on December 6th, with a dominating 92-26 win over Sport. Young had a solid all-around performance with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting. UNINASSAU returns to practice with its next game slated for December 17th against Venceslau.

Tamera Young made her debut with Uninassau/America on November 30th, helping the team to a 75-73 win over Sao Jose. Atlanta�s Erika de Souza led the team with 20 points and 12 rebounds as Dream teammates Nadia Colhado and Tiffany Hayes also made their debuts for Uninassau. The team�s next game is on December 6th.

November 17
The Brazilian League officially released its 2014-15 schedule earlier this week, and Tamera Young will make her debut with her UNINASSAU/America team on November 30th against Sao Jose.

October 20
Tamera Young is set to play for Sport Recife in Brazil this winter. She will be joined by fellow WNBA players, Erika de Souza and Tiffany Hayes, from the Atlanta Dream. Sport Recife led by the American trio of Young, de Souza and Hayes will begin play in late November/early December.
