The Sky hit the court hard meeting many of the top teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences. Below is a breakdown of all the Sky action from June.

June 2- The Chicago Sky defeated the Tulsa Shock 92-71. The Sky welcomed their then fourth largest attendance in history as an energetic crowd came out to see the battle between two of the “Three To See,” Elena Delle Donne versus the third overall draft pick Skylar Diggins.

The Sky hosted a Food Truck Festival before the game. The festival included food from several Chicagoland food trucks including Raging Kitchen, The Slide Ride and more. A portion of the proceeds from the Food Truck Festival benefited the Illinois No Kid Hungry Campaign.

June 3- Swin Cash was named the Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Award recipient for 2013. She earned the award for her outstanding contribution to the community. The award is given annually to one male athlete and one female athlete in recognition of their charity work and status as positive role models.

June 9- The Sky defeated the Silver Stars at home in a 72-70 victory. In this game, Swin Cash reached her 21,000th career minute, becoming just the 13th WNBA player to reach this mark.

June 26- The Sky defeated the New York Liberty 87-74 at home. Swin Cash moved into 15th place on the WNBA all-time scoring list (4,464 points at the time). The Sky also had an outstanding crowd of 8,911, the third game this season to sit in the top 10 most attended games in franchise history.

June 29- 6885 Sky fans came out to Allstate Arena to cheer, totaling the fifth largest recorded attendance total in Sky history. This was Youth Sports Night and the Sky honored the 2013 Under Armor Chicago Sky Girls Basketball High School Team of the Year – Streamwood High School Girls Basketball Team. Postgame, the Sky also hosted a Faith and Family event. Swin Cash and Tamera Young spoke to fans about how their faith impacts their professional careers.
