Girl Scout Night 2012
Half-Time Parade & Celebration
Join fellow girls & women in the halftime parade as we celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Girl Scouts. Seven young girls will be dressed in historic Girl Scout uniforms and will lead groups from the following decades onto the Sky court – 1912-1952, 1952-1962, 1962-1972, 1972-1982, 1982-1992, 1992-2002, 2002-2012. If you participated in the Girl Scouts at any stage throughout this time period we would love to have you join the parade at halftime and represent your decade.
To join the parade meet Sky staff in the West concourse (proceed through the Kids Korner to access the West concourse) with 5 min’s remaining to play in the second quarter. The parade will commence promptly at half time once the players have exited the court.
The Sky is committed to partnering with the Girl Scouts to provide girls opportunities to earn their Athlete badge. We have multiple work sheets and activities they can participate in to assist in fulfilling some of these requirements such as completing the score sheet for the game, learning about sportsmanship and creating their own player trading cards. Girls can collect these activities at the Girl Scout redemption table in the North concourse when they receive their patches & visors.
Join a Sky player in the South East Party Room for a Q&A session immediately following the game – be prepared to ask her questions about her career and how she made it to the professional level as well as questions about what she does to stay healthy & what is her workout routine.
* To purchase a Girl Scout ticket package ($20 per person) and get in on the action for Girl Scout Night call Bryan on 312.994.5986. Each package includes entry to the game and pre-game fitness workshop, a Sky visor and patch and $5 from every ticket purchased through this offer will be donated to the Girl Scouts of Chicago-land & Northwest Indiana.
