Get Served by the Sky & Raise Money for Diabetes

The Chicago Sky will host “Get Served by the Sky” at Buffalo Wild Wings in Mount Prospect on Tuesday, May 31 at 6:00 p.m. to raise money for the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

During “Get Served by the Sky” the entire Sky team and coaching staff will wait tables and bartend to collect tips which will be donated directly to the ADA. The event is open to the public and ends at approximately 8:30pm. Sky fans will have the chance to get autographs and photos with the players, all for a tip. The team will also host a raffle where fans can win unique autographed Sky experiences and memorabilia.

Sky fans, their friends and families are invited to attend this event which is part of WNBA Cares Week of Service. For many fans this will be a chance to interact with the entire Sky team and meet our recently drafted rookies and new additions to the roster while at the same time raising funds for a cause that is important to Head Coach Pokey Chatman.

Coach Chatman and the Sky will also be hosting “Dribble to Stop Diabetes Night” on Tuesday, July 19 when the Sky takes on reigning WNBA Champion Seattle Storm.

Buffalo Wild Wings is located at 301 Euclid Avenue, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. Customers will be seated on a first come first serve basis.

Diabetes is a silent killer that has no cure. Each year, the disease takes more than 300,000 lives - that’s more than AIDS and breast cancer combined. Today more than 25.8 million Americans have diabetes. Since 1940, the American Diabetes Association has been the nation’s leading voluntary health organization serving all people with diabetes.

The mission of the ADA is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. For more information about diabetes contact the American Diabetes Association at 1-800-DIABETES (1-800-342-2383) or visit
