Sky Teams up with for 2009 High School Coach of the Year Awards

Chicago, February 10, 2009 – The Chicago Sky has announced a partnership with to select the inaugural “Chicagoland High School Coach of the Year” award. Presented to one boy’s and one girl’s high school coach.

The winning coaches will be announced April 9th and recognized on center court at a Sky home game in June. The winning coaches will have the opportunity to watch a Sky private practice held at Attack Athletics, followed by a lunch with Head Coach and General Manager Steven Key. The coaches will also receive 40 tickets from the Sky to a home game during the 2009 season.

To enter, fans can log onto and nominate their candidate by creating a coach profile and providing statements on why their nominee should be selected. Players and fans can add photos and video content to enhance their nomination, while fans are encouraged to blog, endorse, and vote for their coach by logging into is a part of Fox Chicago and features videos and content centered around high school sports. Visitors can upload a video, photo, or blog with a chance of having it appear on Fox Chicago News television broadcasts.
