Hello Chicago Sky Fans!!!

My name is Felicia Chester-Wootton. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I recently attended DePaul University here in Chicago, graduating in March of 2011. Since then, I have been on a whirlwind playing in Atlanta, New York, and even Athens, Greece. However, I have come to consider Chicago my home, since I have been living here the past 6 years! I absolutely love this city!

Since being signed, I have been doing a lot to prepare for the upcoming training camp and basketball season. I have been strength training four times a week at Poliquin Performance in Winnetka, Illinois. My trainer Brett has definitely pushed me to the limit and made me stronger than I've ever been. I also do speed/agility training and conditioning at a facility called TC Boost in Deerfield, Illinois. My trainer Tom has definitely improved my quickness and endurance.

As for basketball training, I have had a lot of help from my alma mater and my husband. I play pick up games with DePaul whenever I get the chance. Also, my old teammate Deirdre Naughton (New Trier and DePaul alum) has helped me improve my shot and range. And my husband Corey helps me with anything that I ask him too, whether he is just rebounding for me or playing me one on one. It definitely helps playing against someone as big and strong as him (he is 6'6'' and weighs 270!). Every time we play, an argument ensues, but I end up a better player in the end!

For those of you who follow Chicago hoops and knew me at DePaul, you probably remember me as Felicia Chester, but now I am a Wootton! About 3 weeks ago on April 6th, I married my best friend Corey Wootton. Corey is an athlete as well. He plays defensive end for the Chicago Bears. Our wedding ceremony and reception was held in downtown Chicago at the Osteria Via Stato restaurant. We had about 80 guests attend. Everything went perfectly and we had so much fun!

After the wedding, Corey and I went to Miami for our honeymoon. It was a much needed, relaxing vacation. However, we only stayed for 3 days because both of us had to get back to training for our upcoming seasons. That's just the life of an athlete! You gotta keep your eye on the prize!

Well, that sums up what I have been doing for the past fews months. I am looking forward to being apart of the Sky family and playing with so many great, talented players (even 2 Olympians!!). Go Sky!!
