Cathrine Kraayeveld: Light’s Out
In Kraayeveld’s second season with the Sky, the 6-3 forward averaged 5.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. Her ability to shoot the three ball, as well as play inside, made Cathrine a formidable threat to her opponents. She had nine games during the season where she made three or more shots from beyond the arc. Kraayeveld did a great job spreading the court on offense to give room for center Sylvia Fowles to work her magic inside, while she took care of business outside.
Cathrine’s most impressive game was at Washington on June 11. In a winning effort, Kraayeveld hit 6-of-7 three-point shots for 19 points. A personal record and the second most ever in Sky history. She also added three defensive rebounds, two assists, and one steal to make a complete game.
Cathrine is a threat every time she steps on the floor. With her three-point shooting, she could change the momentum of a game in a few possessions.
