Installment Twenty-two
With six games remaining in the season your Chicago Sky stands with a record of (4-24). Our latest win coming against Minnesota
(79-65). Though our record shows little success over the season so far, our athletes level of play shows everything opposite. In our last nine losses five have been in four or less field goals. Often it can be challenging to keep a team motivated and playing with intensity when winning is so hard to come by. With this team of talented young athletes filled with so much drive and determination to improve, winning is bound to find its way into our record books.

Stacey Dales has made an immediate impact since her return to the court. Offensively she has blown through the gates shooting with outstanding confidence, while leaving little breathing room for her opponents while on defense. Lately we are finding a great deal of success with our bench players on both ends of the court. Corretta Brown has proved her great court awareness and quick feet on defense. Stacey Lovelace-Tolbert and Liz Shimek have continuosly stepped up and given our team an extra spark with their dominating presence. Our staff is seeing some great depth in our team whether it be in Newton and Brown, or in Lovelace-Tolbert and Shimek.

Every night we have stepped on the court to play, someone on our team always seems to be stealing the spotlight from another one of our athletes. Whether it be Bernadette Ngoyisa leading the team in both points and rebounds versus Houston, Candice Dupree's career high point performance with 25 against Indiana, Stacey Dales' season high 20 points versus Minnesota in our latest victory, Jia Perkins and her constant energizing leadership as our starting point guard, or Amanda Lassiter's stellar "in-your-face" defense game in and game out. Every night our players are constantly fighting and believing in themselves to become the best team they can be.

With only two home games left out of our six games remaining in the season we hope to give our fans two of our best performances while trying to go out of our first season with a "bang".

Come out and show your continued support as we extend our appreciation on Fan Appreciation Night at the UIC Pavillion Tuesday, August 8th at 6:30 pm against Connecticuit.

Ready. Set. Soar.
