Detroit Shock to Give Away 2,000 Tickets to Tip-Off Labor Day Weekend

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Shock, in their continuing effort to give back to fans and the community, would like to show their support in these tough economic times by presenting a special offer to Michigan’s sports and entertainment fans this Labor Day Weekend. The Shock are offering 2,000 FREE general admission tickets to this Friday’s Eastern Conference match-up against the Indiana Fever at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

“This year, a lot of people will be around for the holiday weekend,” said Detroit Shock Chief Operating Officer, Craig Turnbull. “This is a great chance for people that haven’t made it out to The Palace for a game yet this season.”

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, those interested can go to to request their free tickets for Friday’s game. There is a five-ticket limit per person.

The defending champion Shock have won five of their last six games and are in the midst of a late season push towards the WNBA playoffs in hopes of repeating as WNBA champions — what would be their fourth Championship in the past seven years.
