    Shock Head Coach Bill Laimbeer

“Bottom-line is I’m doing something wrong as a coach. I can’t seem to get our team motivated to do the little things. Maybe I don’t practice them hard enough, maybe I have the wrong personnel on the court but right now we have a lot of talented players and we aren’t getting it done so I’ll take the blame. We’re not getting the job done consistently, we have our moments but for the whole part of the game we have so many lapses mentally and physically that that’s my responsibility.”

“Their (Connecticut) hungry, they want to win. They lost three in a row and they came out and proved it. We just get comfortable and don’t go out and prove that we want to win.”

“If we win the next two games we get to five hundred. We have to get to five hundred first to give ourselves a chance for a playoff spot. Right now we are a struggling ball club and we don’t have very much confidence.”

    Shock Forward Swin Cash

“You can’t put the blame on the coach. He is giving us the things to do and to go out there and execute and we aren’t doing that right now. It’s very frustrating as a team, its not individuals it’s the team. If we don’t come to play together as a team we aren’t going to be successful and we understand that and we know what we have to do. We just have to go out there and do it.”

“Any loss is frustrating, whether it is eastern conference, western or whatever. But at the same time this is a crucial point in the season for us and we understand that. We have dug ourselves into another hole and all we can do is find our way out of it.”

    Shock Center Ruth Riley

“I think its about every individual right now to pick up their game defensively and offensively and as a team to come together a little more.”

“We are definitely not thinking that our season is over based on this one game. We are going to learn a lot about ourselves when we come off this back to back.”

    Sun Head Coach Mike Thibault

“We passed the ball on offense, we rebounded decently, the only thing that gave us a little bit of trouble was our fouls. To play a game with four turnovers is huge.”

On whether they got confidence from their other two victories against the Shock:
“I think it helps. I think our team right now in the season expects to win. You don’t become a really good team until you feel that way. That’s the way they (the Shock) felt every night when they went on the court last year. Now we’re starting to get that same kind of feeling.”

On winning here after losing games on the road:
“The two the games in Texas we didn’t play well. I thought we played well in Minnesota, but we lost. We just didn’t make enough shots down the stretch. So, I think of the road trip of five games, I think we played three good games but we only won two of them.”

On having only one turnover in the first half:
“We play them (the Shock) with confidence right now. I thought we played at a better tempo with that too. And we have a pretty good point guard who doesn’t turn if over much (Lindsay Whalen). And I thought our bench was pretty good too.”

    Fever Forward Le'Coe Willingham

On having a career-high twelve points:
“I’ve been working hard all season trying to get back into game shape and trying to get into WNBA shape. I have a lot of great people around me that I’ve learned from and that help me everyday in practice. When I got in I just wanted to do positive things and just perform.”

On trying to get the ball inside:
“We just wanted to get back to playing some inside-out games. If we get the inside game going then that would take a lot of pressure off our outside game.”

On whether the number of open shots she got surprised her:
“I don’t think they really knew about me, so I think I took them as a surprise.”
