HOW SHE FITS
Entering her senior season on the Naismith pre-season and mid-season watch list, Tennessee's Glory Johnson has steadily improved each year. After going on a streak of six straight double-doubles in late December and early January, Johnson earned back-to-back player of the week honors in the SEC on January 2nd and 9th - an honor that she also earned four times during the 2010-11 season.

Johnson is averaging just under a double-double this season at 14.3 points and 9.8 rebounds (through 15 games) while shooting an unprecedented 59.1 percent from the field. Johnson has modeled her game after current WNBA most valuable player Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever and joined her in the exclusive 1000 points/1000 rebounds club which only four players in the history of the program have accomplished. Johnson has also competed at the International level, averaging 6.2 points and 5.5 rebounds for Team USA at the 2011 World University Games in Shenzhen, China, helping lead her country to a perfect 6-0 record.

If drafted by the Shock, Johnson would be another forward up front that can score in the paint and rebound on both ends of the floor. She would add another athletic presence in the front court to go along with an already emerging and growing front court. RELATED LINKS
