Community Involvement

The Tulsa Shock ownership group, coaching staff, players and business take a great amount of pride in being a part of the Tulsa community. From volunteering to board involvement, members of our staff are committed to the community in a variety of ways. Below you will find the community affiliations of our business team:

Tulsa Shock President Steve Swetoha sits on the board of OCCJ, Greater Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Tulsa Sports Commission. In 2010, Swetoha was named the honorary chair of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure which took place in September 2010.

Tulsa Shock Vice-President Eric Newendorp is a TOPS soccer coach in the Metro Tulsa Soccer club as well as thePreisdent of the Home Owners Association in his neighborhood.

Director of Sponsorship Marlene Livaudais is on the board at the YWCA and a regular volunteer at the Greater Food of Eastern Oklahoma.

Director of Sales Danita Johnson is a board member at the Salvation Army, Boys/Girls Club of Tulsa, March of Dimes and the Greenwood Cultural Center.

Sponsorship Activation Coordinator Katie Nicholas is on Up With Trees' Green Gala Committee and volunteers at the Humane Society and Blue Star Mothers.

Account Executive Kari Sumpter sits on the board for Oklahomans For Equality.
