HOW SHE FITS
Entering her senior season on the Wooden and Naismith pre-season watch list, Ohio State's Samantha Prahalis has not disappointed, averaging 19.3 points and 6.8 assists for the 11th ranked Buckeyes this season. Through February 6, Prahalis has already recorded 10 20-point game and four 10-plus assists efforts for four double-doubles this season. Prahalis had a season-high 30 points and seven assists in a win over Iowa on January 2 and has been named Big Ten Player of the Week twice already this season (Nov 28 and Jan 24). For her career, the Commack, New York native has started 123 of 124 games in which she has appeared while averaging 14.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists in four seasons at Ohio State.

Prahalis is the rare combination of a distributor and scorer that could play both guard positions on virtually any team. Her scoring touch has improvied throughout her college career while assist numbers have remained steadily atop the national rankings. Considered the best point pure guard in the 2012 WNBA Draft by many, it will be curious to see if she's available when the Shock select at the four-spot.
