NEW YORK, Aug. 29 – “Awards Week” begins Tuesday as the WNBA honors the Bud Light Peak Performer: Scoring champion and culminates Sept. 8 with the Rookie of the Year presentation, the league announced today.

The 2005 WNBA Playoffs tip off tomorrow with an ESPN2 doubleheader. In the first game, the Indiana Fever takes on the New York Liberty (7:30 p.m. EDT) followed by the Houston Comets hosting the defending WNBA champion Seattle Storm (9:30 p.m. EDT).

Four networks will carry 2005 WNBA Playoffs action. ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and NBA TV will provide coverage through the conference finals. The 2005 WNBA Finals will be televised on ABC and ESPN2.
