The WNBA's Atlanta Dream defeated Standard Life Team GB Women in a historic game at the MEN Arena in Manchester in the first-ever WNBA match in Europe.
GB were led by Kim Butler with 12 points while Coco Miller scored on 10 of her 12 field goal attempts on her way to 21 points for the Atlanta Dream as the Dream won the WNBA Live - Manchester 2011 game 82-51.
Standard Life GB coach Tom Maher said: "I was very happy to have the opportunity to play a WNBA team, it’s a great experience, our girls have never played against athletes like that before and it was a great experience for them. I think it will stand us in stead for our immediate future at the European Championships"
Atlanta Dream coach Marynell Meadors said: "I could see that GB is getting better and better, I've been in the game a long time and I've watched younger teams play and watched a lot of teams play at international level and I really think GB has the makings of a really good team, they play well together so I really think they’re definitely going to do extremely well in the 2012 Olympics"
