A Second Round Christmas Gift

On April 11th, Trudi Lacey sat in the draft room hoping that her second round target would continue to fall to the Mystics at pick #23. When the pick finally came up Lacey dialed the WNBA office and grabbed Karima Christmas. It has only been a few weeks, but it looks like the Mystics have found a second round gift in Christmas.

Mystics Win Preseason Opener

Matee Ajavon hit the game-winning three-pointer with four seconds left as the Mystics came-from-behind in the second half to knock off the Liberty 60-57. Mystics Waive Holmes and Reid

Rookie Ta�Shia Phillips made her training camp debut yesterday while fellow rookies Karima Christmas and Jasmine Thomas participated in their first practice today. Lacey Ready to Tip-Off Training Camp

For the past six months, Trudi Lacey has been focused on building the Mystics roster as General Manager of the team. On Sunday, Lacey will begin her other role the Mystics, head coach, as the team opens training camp with their first practice of the season at 1:00pm.

Thomas Excited to Play for Hometown Team

Jasmine Thomas still remembers the day she became a Mystics fan. She was 13 and her AAU team had just won the national championship. Upon returning home to D.C., the victors were invited to a Mystics game and recognized at half court.

Mystics Upgrade Their Frontcourt

On April 11th, Trudi Lacey sat in the Mystics draft room, hung up the phone with the league office, and after pausing for a moment, raised her arms in the air and screamed "We did it!'. When asked about the Mystics moves around and on draft day Lacey calls it �divine intervention�. In just under a week, Lacey had turned Lindsey Harding into a frontcourt that would rival any team in the WNBA.
