GAME NOTES
- Tonight's game is the second of four regular season meetings between the Washington Mystics and the Chicago Sky. The Chicago Sky are currently up 1-0 in the season series.
- Last time out vs. Chicago...In their last meeting on June 11th, the Mystics fell to the Sky 84-77. In the loss, Matee Ajavon led the Mystics scoring 24 points to go along with six rebounds. Kelly Miller finished with 15 points, and both Crystal Langhorne and Marissa Coleman finished in double figures. The Sky were led by Synthia Fowles who scored 23 points and Epiphanny Prince who added 20.
- Tonight's game is the first of five straight road games for the Mystics. Their next home game will be on Wednesday, July 20th at 11:30am vs. the Atlanta Dream.
- Last game vs. Seattle...The Mystics fell to the Storm 73-63. Forward Crystal Langhorne sat out the first game of her career and ended a 41-game streak of
games consecutively started due to back pain.
- Rookie forward Victoria Dunlap recorded the first start in her career. Dunlap led the Mystics with19 points, shooting 7-for-14 from the field and 5-for-7 from the free throw line. Dunlap also grabbed
eight rebounds and had three steals in 33 minutes of play.
- Forward/center Nicky Anosike posted the fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
- The Washington Mystics are currently in first place in the league in steals per game, averaging 9.63
so far this season.
- Tonight's game will feature the league's top two players in steals per game in Matee Ajavon and Epiphanny Prince.
- Guard Kelly Miller and forward Crystal Langhorne are ranked first and second in the league in
minutes per game.
