Sibley Hospital and Mystics Continue Partnership

Washington Mystics Chief Operating Officer Greg Bibb announced today that Sibley Memorial Hospital and the Mystics will continue their partnership focused on breast health awareness for the fourth consecutive year. For the past three years, the Mystics have helped to raise over $125,000 for the Sullivan Center for Breast Health. Sibley will again serve as the presenting sponsor of the Mystics Breast Health Awareness Game, which will be held on August 28 at 4:00 p.m. against two-time WNBA champions the Phoenix Mercury.

We are pleased to have Sibley return as the presenting partner of our annual Breast Health Awareness Game, Bibb stated. Over the past three years, Sibley and the Mystics have worked hard together to raise both awareness and dollars in the fight against breast cancer. Our partnership with Sibley is one of our most important as we battle a tough opponent and a terrible disease.

The breast health awareness auction has traditionally allowed Sibley and the Mystics to raise funds and awareness for women with breast cancer. Additionally, breast cancer survivors are honored during the game. Following the game, fans will be able to bid on numerous sports experiences and memorabilia, with all proceeds benefiting Sibleys Sullivan Center for Breast Health.

We are looking forward to this years partnership, a winning season, and another successful auction to benefit women in our community, commented Robert L. Sloan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Sibley Memorial Hospital.

The Washington Mystics will tip off their 14th season on Saturday, June 4, on the road against the Connecticut Sun at 7:00 pm. Washingtons home opener at Verizon Center is Saturday, June 11, at 7:00 pm against the Chicago Sky. Season and group tickets for the 2011 season are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling the Mystics Sales Office at 1-877-DC-HOOP1.
