On what the breakdown was:
It was reading the defense. We were trying to score too quickly. They were changing their defense from man-to-man to zone. We weren’t reading that well and turning the ball over. But for me the main thing was that we did not come out and defend. They made over fifty percent of their shots in the first half. That was disappointing after we played so well against Chicago and played well in San Antonio, then we came out tonight and just weren’t focused.”

On the Dream playing without Angel McCoughtry:
“We were prepared as if she were going to play. I don’t know if we had a mental meltdown since she wasn’t playing. They still have a very great team, a talented team and an experienced team. I just didn’t think that we were mentally prepared.”

On making a comeback and falling short:
“It was just a little too late. We came out really slow tonight. We made a lot of turnovers, myself included.”

On the season:
It was just a little too late. We came out really slow tonight. We made a lot of turnovers, myself included.”

On the team’s progress:
“Today was pretty tough. I really think we went back a few steps today with our turnovers and defensive lapses.”

On the loss:
“It is frustrating. I mean we dug ourselves in a hole too early in the game. When you dig yourself in a hole like that it is pretty hard to overcome within the amount of time we have.”

On her 16 points in the fourth quarter:
“Just being aggressive. We were down 20 or so. I had nothing to lose really.”
