Mystics, Comcast Sportsnet To Continue Partnership

Network to Present 10 Live Games and ‘Mystics Magazine’ Series During Team’s 15TH Anniversary Season

Washington, D.C. – The Washington Mystics and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, the region’s premier source for multiplatform sports coverage, have announced the continuation of their partnership for a third consecutive season. The agreement is highlighted by a 10-game regional television schedule, which begins on May 30 when the Mystics host the Minnesota Lynx.

Comcast SportsNet will also present the award-winning docu-series “Mystics Magazine,” which follows the Mystics on and off the court during the team’s 15th anniversary season. The program – which will also be available on the team’s official website, – won two Silver DC Peer Awards for overall sports programming and directing, as well as two Bronze Telly Awards. The season’s first episode of “Mystics Magazine” debuts on Comcast SportsNet on Saturday, May 26, at 9:30 a.m.

“The Mystics are an excellent partner and they deliver a fun, exciting product to sports fans throughout the region,” said Comcast SportsNet Senior Vice President and General Manager Rebecca Schulte. “We are excited to continue to provide extensive coverage of the team as they celebrate their 15th anniversary season.”

In addition to the Mystics match-up against the 2011 WNBA Champion Lynx (May 30), the regional television schedule features games against the conference rival New York Liberty (June 8) and 2011 Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream (August 24). To commemorate their 15th anniversary season, the team will unveil the All-Time Mystics team on August 19. Washington will also be featured on national television (ESPN2) when the Seattle Storm visit Verizon Center on Tuesday June 26, at 7 p.m.
