Individual tickets to go on sale August 18 at noon


Washington, D.C. – Tickets for the Washington Mystics First Round playoff games will go on sale on Wednesday, August 18 at noon on or by calling 1-877-DC-HOOP-1. It will be the first time in franchise history that the Mystics will make consecutive appearance in post season play. Playoff tickets for the general public start at $22.00.

Washington recently set a new franchise record for most wins (19) in a season with its recent victory over the Seattle Storm. The Mystics have three games left which will determine seeding for the conference semifinals. Currently, the team is third in the Eastern Conference. Washington will face the San Antonio Silver Stars tonight at 8:00 p.m., and then return home to host the New York Liberty on Friday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. for its annual fan appreciation game. The Mystics will close out the 2010 regular season on Sunday, August 22 at 4:00 p.m. with a road contest again the Atlanta Dream.

The top four teams in each conference have qualified for the playoffs. This year, the league will unveil a new format to its best of three series with the higher seed hosting games one and three (if necessary).
