Washington, D.C. – The Washington Mystics have teamed up with the University of Maryland to celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Sunday, January, 24. Recently named National Basketball Developmental League (NBDL) Head Coach Nancy Lieberman will be the keynote speaker followed by a panel featuring Founding President of the WNBA, Val Ackerman, Maryland Athletic Director, Dr. Debbie Yow and Mystics Vice President and General Manager, Angela Taylor. The event will take place in Heritage Hall at the Comcast Center beginning at 6:45 p.m. and will conclude before the 8:00 p.m. tip-off game featuring the University Maryland and Duke University.
