Bethesda, Md. (June 10, 2010) – In conjunction with Comcast SportsNet, the region’s premier source for television and online sports coverage, the Washington Mystics announced their 10-game regional television schedule for the 2010 WNBA season. Comcast SportsNet’s live high-definition game coverage begins on Saturday, June 12, when the Mystics host the New York Liberty at Verizon Center at 7 p.m.

This season’s regional television schedule is highlighted by contests against the league’s most exciting teams, including the 2009 WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury on June 27. Also featured on the television schedule are match-ups with the Chicago Sky (June 19), Indiana Fever (July 24), Los Angeles Sparks (June 24) and San Antonio Silver Stars (July 29) – all who competed in the 2009 WNBA playoffs.

“We are pleased to offer an expanded schedule of live Mystics games to Comcast SportsNet viewers this season,” said Comcast SportsNet Senior Vice President and General Manager Rebecca Schulte. “Our partnership with the Mystics complements the expansive line-up of live sporting events that we deliver to the region.”

In addition, the Mystics will also be featured twice on national television, making their 2010 national debut on Tuesday, June 29 when the team hosts the Eastern Conference Champion Indiana Fever at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN2. Washington will return on ESPN2 while visiting the Dream in Atlanta on Tuesday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m.

“We are excited to partner with Comcast SportsNet in 2010,” Mystics Chief Operating Officer Greg Bibb stated. “There is no better platform to market our product than live television and Comcast SportsNet is the leader for regional sports programming in the market.
