Kay Jewelers Agrees to Multi-Year Partnership with the Washington Mystics

The Washington Mystics and Kay Jewelers have entered into a multi-year corporate partnership, Mystics Chief Operating Officer Greg Bibb announced today. Kay Jewelers will be the presenting partner of the Mystics Youth Summer League (MYSL).

We are thrilled to have Kay Jewelers join the Mystics as a corporate partner, Bibb stated. Their commitment to the Mystics and to the youth of Washington, DC, is appreciated as their support will allow the Mystics to reach more children than ever before. We anticipate the fourth season of the MYSL to be the best to date thanks in large part to our partners at Kay Jewelers, the Greater Washington Sports Alliance and The DC Department of Parks & Recreation.

The Mystics Youth Summer League is a fun and competitive youth basketball league operated in collaboration with DC Parks & Recreation and the Greater Washington Sports Alliance that takes place at recreation centers throughout the city. The League provides an outlet for girls ages 10-18 to play organized basketball during the summertime. MYSL plays a two-month regular season followed by playoffs and championship games at Verizon Center. In 2010, the MYSL featured 40 teams consisting of over 450 girls.

Kay Jewelers is proud to partner with the Mystics organization and support its youth summer league program, said Mark Light, President and CEO, Kay Jewelers. We are excited to be affiliated with a team that empowers young women and is passionate about cultivating future leaders on and off the basketball court.
