Sanford Saves Lives with DCTFF

Nakia Sanford participated in a press conference Monday morning, August 11th, highlighting a new media initiative to help DC residents to stop smoking sponsored by D.C. Tobacco Free Families, a partnership of the American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association of D.C., and the D.C. Department of Health. The program encourages DC residents to call 1-800-QUIT-NOW and pledge to quit smoking. The initiative features public service announcements by former Redskins cornerback and Hall of Famer, Darrell Green, radio commercials with local go-go band, Mambo Sauce and print campaign featuring Washington Mystics Center Nakia Sanford on Metro busbacks. Nakia is a spokesperson for the quit-smoking campaign.
