Team Adds Three More to Front Office Staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Washington Mystics Chief Operating Officer Greg Bibb announced today that Rob Hur has joined the team as the Director of Corporate Partnerships. Hur will be responsible for leading the organization’s sponsorship initiatives, including the enhancement of the team’s sponsorship portfolio.

Hur brings over 20 years of sales experience to the Mystics. He recently led the Washington Kastles corporate sponsorship department and helped grow revenue for the organization by 40% from 2008 to 2009. Previously, he spent two years with Red Zebra Broadcasting as a Sales Manager for the Washington Redskins broadcast. During his time with Red Zebra, Hur was recognized as the company’s top producer for 2006. Prior to his time with Red Zebra, Hur served as a sports marketing executive with Infinity Sports Broadcasting. While with Infinity, Hur’s main responsibilities were with NFL radio sponsorships where he sold and maintain a mid-seven figure revenue base.

“I couldn't be more pleased to join the Mystics' organization and their exciting vision for professional women's basketball in Washington. Their 2009 playoff run and league-leading attendance has clearly established a new and resounding level of support within the market. In the business of sports sponsorships, that very formula combined with a world class venue and clearly defined reach creates the ideal environment for companies to implement their marketing initiatives,” said Hur.

Hur graduated from Towson University with a degree in Mass Communications.

In addition to Hur’s appointment, LaRhonda Lombardi will assist the team as the organization’s new corporate partnerships coordinator, Charles Kacsur has been named the team’s graphic designer and Kim Peters has joined the front office staff as an account executive.

“I’m excited to welcome Rob to the Mystics family,” Bibb stated. “He brings over two decades of sales and marketing experience to our team, as well as a deep reservoir of relationships in the Washington, DC marketplace. The addition of Rob, LaRhonda, Chuck and Kim adds talent, experience and energy to our front office as we close an award-winning 2009 and prepare for an even better 2010.”
