Washington, D.C. –General Manager Angela Taylor announced today that the Washington Mystics have added 6’1 forward Kristen Mann to its roster. Mann, recently spent the 2008 season on the rosters of both the Atlanta Dream and the Indiana Fever

"We are excited about adding Kristen to our roster. She has a great understanding of the game and is one of the better three point shooters in the league,” said Taylor. “Kristen will add solid veteran leadership and a strong work ethic to the mix. She played well during last year's playoffs and is committed to helping our Mystics team compete for a playoff spot in 2009."

Mann was selected in the first round (11th overall) of the 2005 WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx. "Kristen brings a number of attributes to our team, including experience, the ability to stretch the defense with her three point shot, a very high basketball IQ, and a competitive work ethic,” said Head Coach Julie Plank. “She is a player that can knock down open shots, so I am looking forward to adding her to our nucleus, as we continue to make improvements to our Mystics team."
