FALLS CHURCH, VA – In support of our on-going partnership to improve the health of the metropolitan community, Inova Health System and the Washington Mystics are honoring seven recipients of the 2011 Healthy Lifestyle MVP Award, recognizing community members and groups that have made a significant contribution to healthy lifestyles among young people:
Recipients will be honored August 12, 2011 at a special courtside Party Zone reception at the Verizon Center during the Washington Mystics basketball game vs. the New York Liberty. Individual winners will receive 4 complimentary tickets and the group winner will receive 10 complimentary tickets to attend a Party Zone celebration, which includes food and beverages during the game. Winners will also be recognized during a half-time presentation.
“These individuals and groups were nominated by peers who recognized not only their care and concern for the health of others, but have chosen to engage within their sphere of influence to advocate for health and well-being,” commented Rod Williams, Vice President, Community Affairs, Inova Health System. “We appreciate their every effort as, together, we work to realize the benefits of a healthy lifestyle among our community’s youth promising a productive, more satisfying personal and professional life.”
