The Phoenix Mercury announced today that they have signed restricted free-agent Kamila Vodichkova to an offer sheet. Vodichkova is a five year veteran of the WNBA, spending all five seasons with the Seattle Storm (2000-2004). Under league rules, Seattle has 10 days to match the Mercury’s offer.

Vodichkova was selected by the Seattle Storm in the first round (ninth overall) of the 2000 WNBA draft. During the 2004 season she averaged 8.0 ppg, 4.9 rpg and 1.6 apg in 34 games with the WNBA Champions. Vodichkova’s career highs in points is 22 (vs. Detroit 6/28/2000), rebounds 12 (two times), and blocks 4 (vs. Los Angeles July 11, 2002).
