2013 Season Ticket Memberships on Sale Now

Season Ticket Membership On the heels of six consecutive sellouts for the first time since the team’s inaugural season, the Minnesota Lynx today announced that season ticket memberships for the 2013 WNBA season are on sale now. With special “early bird” pricing through Sept. 17, season ticket memberships start as low as $10 per game. Benefits of season ticket memberships include: exclusive team events, playoff priority seating, discounts on parking and team merchandise, vacation exchange ticket program and more. Additionally, fans who purchase a new 2013 season ticket membership prior to Sept. 1 will receive three free games during the 2012 regular season.

“Since unveiling our new sales campaign in-arena, the response from our fans has been overwhelming,” said Timberwolves and Lynx President Chris Wright. “We are thrilled to continually provide affordable pricing and high-quality, exciting basketball to the Twin Cities. Unquestionably, we have the best fans in the WNBA. The atmosphere in Target Center has been tremendous this season, and we’re looking forward to defending our championship in the playoffs.”

This season, Minnesota’s attendance has ballooned to an average of 9,993 per game, the second highest total in the WNBA and the team’s largest average attendance since its debut season in 1999. Already this season the Lynx have drawn the second-largest crowd in franchise history, with 15,318 fans showing up to see Minnesota’s 89-74 win against Tulsa on July 12. This year is Minnesota’s seventh consecutive season with an improved attendance, seeing growth of over 3,500 fans per game since 2006.

Fans that purchase 2013 season ticket memberships will receive priority seating for the 2012 playoffs as the Lynx defend their 2011 WNBA Championship. Through the team’s “early bird” pricing, lower level season ticket memberships begin as low as $170 for the 17-game season. For the first time ever, season ticket memberships also include a 12-month payment plan with payments beginning as low as $14 a month. The next opportunity to see the Lynx at Target Center is Tuesday, Aug. 28 in a potential playoff preview against the San Antonio Silver Stars.
