Lynx Coach Suzie McConnell Serio
"This is a team we knew we couldn't relax (against) at any point because this is a team that plays hard for 40 minutes. You can never count them out because DeForge has, time after time, hit big 'threes' for them, and so has Tamicha Jackson."

"I'm just happy for the players that have been here and worked hard. We're excited about being there but not just about being there. We want to make some noise in the playoffs."

Lynx Guard Katie Smith
"It feels good and it's going to be fun. We just need to step up and play and show that we can win."

"They took me off of her (Anna DeForge) and took me out of the game in the second half when she got hot, so I was a little disappointed about that. But she's tough. She's obviously their go-to player, and she knocked down some shots."

Mercury Coach John Shumate
"We played a great game. We had our ups and downs through the game. We let them jump on us early, and they really hurt us on the offensive glass. We dug a hole for ourselves. We made a good run but just wound up fouling the wrong person. Katie hit some big shots down the stretch and they were back-breakers for us. We were right there to compete and we had a chance to win. We just didn't get it done right there at the end."

Mercury Guard Anna DeForge
"It was a well-fought game on both ends. Both teams made big shots when needed and put the pressure on defensively. In the first half, they had a lot of putbacks and we needed to get defensive boards. We just allowed them to get too many offensive boards."

"They are a team that is fighting with everything because they're trying to make the playoffs. We, on the other hand, are coming into every game just trying to upset everybody. Our execution at the end of the game was what cost us. Both teams shot well. They hit their free throws at the end of the game when we fouled them and just executed very well on their part."
