Lynx Release Sims, Tate and Perry

May 7, 2003 The Lynx announced that the team has released forward LaTonya Sims from its training camp roster. Sims, signed by Minnesota as a free agent on May 1, grabbed four rebounds and handed out two assists in 10 minutes during yesterday's preseason victory against Detroit. The Lynx' 2003 training camp roster currently stands at 15.

Along with Sims, the team also released guard Sonja Tate and center Chana Perry. Both players were placed on the team's Suspended List on May 24, 2002. Neither player joined the team for its 2003 training camp. Tate played with Minnesota during the 1999 and 2000 seasons and averaged 4.3 ppg and 3.5 rpg in 40 contests. Perry never appeared in a Lynx uniform.
