Western Conference Semifinals Schedule Set

The WNBA announced the Western Conference Semifinals schedule on Wednesday, with the Minnesota Lynx kicking off the 2012 playoffs against the Seattle Storm at home on Friday, Sept. 28. The Lynx will host Game 1 at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.

Game 2 will take place in Seattle on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. on ESPN and, if necessary, the Lynx will host Game 3 on Tuesday, Oct. 2. Minnesota is the top seed in the WNBA playoffs and holds home court advantage through the WNBA Finals. They’re currently 26-5, while Seattle is currently 14-18. Minnesota is 3-1 against the Storm this season.

The Los Angeles Sparks are the No. 2 seed in the West, and they’ll open up at home against San Antonio on Thursday, Sept. 27. The Silver Stars will host Game 2 in San Antonio on Saturday, Sept. 29, and if necessary Game 3 will be in Los Angeles on Monday, Oct. 1.
