What the Lynx think

“She has suffered 2 ACL injuries during her career at Notre Dame but has still managed to stuff the stat sheet. Peters has a 6-5 wing span and can be very disruptive at both ends of the floor but is especially good on the defensive end. Tenacious offensive rebounder and shot blocker. Excellent in pick & roll game and seems to take pride in setting good screens to get teammates open.”
- Jim Petersen, Lynx Assistant Coach

What They're Saying

“Offensively, she's been the kind of player who's taken us to the next level. She raises our game when she's in there. She can do things that nobody else on our team can do, the athletic ability, the wingspan. What she does in the press, how she can rebound. She gets the ball so quickly. She does so many things that put her at a high-level athlete.

Dev is that player that every good team has. Every Top 25 team has a player like her that can just go get a rebound. She is an incredible athlete who is gifted with great skill. She jumps really well, she's got tremendous hands, quick feet. She runs the floor, so she's hard for the other team; she puts pressure on the defense to get back. She can block shots, she can defend on the perimeter."
- Muffet McGraw, Notre Dame coach

“What a great spirit! Knowing what it took for Devereaux to return to the floor after devastating injuries in her first two years, I have become a huge fan. Dev is a classy street smart kid from Chicago with a great family and wonderful supporters who have celebrated every victory. From the first time she was allowed to ‘walk the steps’ in St. Thomas in November of 2009 to the past few weeks when she has elevated her game to its highest level. Dev’s work on the boards has been special and her defense can excite the crowd and open up transition opportunities. Dev can score inside and has worked tirelessly on her jump shot. Dev has been solid from the free throw line and play all forty minutes if she has to.

Devereaux Peters is all-day tough. If we had a legitimate ‘five’ in the lineup and she could play the ‘four’ all the time she would dominate. She gets a chance from time to time to show that but always carries the attitude that she will do whatever is needed to win. Dev is a true ‘team’ players and has developed as a terrific leader as well. It has been great to know Dev for these five years. I have seen her at her best in big games and I have seen her in a brace struggling to get on and off the plane. At all times she showed the same focus and toughness. I know there is a lot of success in this lady’s life.”
- Bob Nagle, Notre Dame Play-by-Play, Pulse FM

"Peters is one of the most versatile defenders in this draft class and and also has outstanding rebounding instincts, particularly on the offensive boards. Even if she isn't a major scorer at the pro level, she'll find ways to contribute."
- Nate Parham,

"Has a nose for the basket and is an excellent rebounder. Also defends well for her size."
- Doug Feinberg, Associated Press

“Peters stock increased the most this season of all seniors. Long, athletic, runs floor, shot blocker, plays in PNR and emerging PNP skills.”
- Debbie Antonelli, National TV College Basketball Analyst
