Amber Jacobsí High School Jersey Retired

Lynx guard Amber Jacobs recently became the first athlete in the history of Abington Heights High School (Penn.) to have a uniform retired. Jacobs, a native of Clarks Summit Pennsylvania, amassed 2,433 points, 655 assists, 635 steals and nearly 600 rebounds in her high school career.

Jacobs went on to star at Boston College, leading the Eagles to their first-ever Big East Championship her senior season (2003-2004). She finished her four-year career ranked 4th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,544 points. She is also in the top 10 in field goals made (6th, 544), field goals attempted (5th, 1,238), 3-pt field goals made (2nd, 183), 3-pt field goals attempted (2nd, 502), free throws made (8th, 273), free throws attempted (10th, 333), assists (5th, 469), steals (6th, 158) and games played (3rd, 123).

Jacobs was selected by the Lynx in the 2004 WNBA draft (3rd round, 33rd overall).
