Lynx Coach Suzie McConnell Serio
"It was an exciting game. It was back and forth the whole day. I couldn't be more proud of my players, finding a way to get a win. We got big stops when we needed to, and we got big baskets when we needed. I thought Lassiter came up with a big offensive rebound for us, and Katie hit some big shots and Nicole was phenomenal, scoring and on the boards. It's been a team effort. Our bench has come up big for us, winning five of the last six. That is something we need to continue to have."

"We knew Lindsay was going to be a big draw. The fans wanted her to play well, and she gave them a great show. I'm very happy for her. It was a nice ovation for her when she did things well. Even our biggest Lynx supporters supported her. She is a Minnesota girl. We understand her value here, and what she means to this town and these people."

"This wasn't a competition between Nicole Ohlde and Lindsay Whalen. They have different values to their teams. Nicole Ohlde has, from the very beginning, been our go-to player inside someone who is very valuable to us and gives us a presence inside. Hayden is also someone who got good minutes, but she got hit the other night."

"Tamika is an underrated player in our mind, because she can hurt you. She is very effective around the basket. She can find ways to get her shot off with her size in the post. She is a great rebounder and a smart player."

Lynx Guard Katie Smith
"The kids boosted it (noise) up. They were screaming. I don't know who they were screaming for, but they made the noise, so I'm excited about that. And I saw a lot of familiar faces, so our fans were there supporting us."

"Nicole has had a few games where she has done some damage. She had some opportunities to go one-on-one. They were doubling down on myself, so you throw it inside and she's by herself and she made nice moves and finished. She also got to the free-throw line and knocked them down. To me, it's not really a breakout game. She had done it before and is very capable. She's been doing work. It's something we're proud of, and we're going to need it. We're back at it tomorrow."

Lynx Center Nicole Ohlde
"It feels good to get a win on our home court. This is our third in a row, so that definitely feels good. Hopefully we can keep it rolling... The defensive end (was important), getting key stops and key rebounds. People stepped up and made huge plays, whether it be on the defensive end or the offensive end. So what was important was everybody stepping up and doing their part."

"That's all in the past. Lindsay and I are pretty good friends, so we talk and joke about stuff. But it was good to see her play pretty well and give our fans something to see, so that's good for her. That's just the way things worked out. She went there, I went here. We're just happy to be playing."

Lynx Guard Helen Darling
"We're not used to this (media) definitely not me. I'm used to going in here, getting me a salad and a shower, and getting out. But this is great. Hopefully the fans will keep coming out and seeing us. I think it is great that Lindsay came here today. Four out of the last five have been nail-biters, so hopefully people will come to see exciting games. Maybe we can win some games that are not so close, but we'll take a win when we can get it."

"I was excited for Nicole. Nicole has been working hard. We work with her every day; you've got to go inside. But I'm glad she came out and played an excellent game. She played with four fouls, and she played with smarts. That's something most rookies don't do."

Sun Coach Mike Thibault
"I think they came up with some loose balls and long rebounds at the end, and got extra possessions... and we ended up putting them on the free-throw line... We did a pretty good job in the first half (on Smith). She's pretty hard to hold down the whole game. That's why she's a starter on the Olympic team."

"(Whalen) is just learning the league, what she can and can't do, and how to get her teammates involved. I think she's brought a balance to our team. Everybody gets good touches, and there's good distribution of the basketball. I think that she's still got a lot of good stuff ahead of her, too. It's a learning curve and it takes a while, but she's pretty accelerated."

Sun Guard Lindsay Whalen
"I just went out there and tried to do the same things I do every game. It was good to be home. I didn't really have many expectations. I wasn't nervous or scared about it. It was nice... I'm never really that aggressive at the beginning of the game. I just try to get into the flow and get my teammates involved. I really didn't look to shoot too much early."

"It's faster (in the WNBA) and everyone is just a little better, obviously. I'm just trying to make the adjustments. We're on a 10-day road trip, and we never had any of those in college. So you just have to stay focused and try to get your rest when you can... It's been good. We're winning games. Obviously we slipped up today, but overall we're playing good ball. So I'm happy about that."

"It was great. The crowd was fantastic. I'm glad to see everyone out at the game, supporting the game in general, and I think this was just a good game. It just shows the great support that Minnesota has for its hometown athletes... You think about it (draft) a little bit. I don't have any regrets. I'm happy to be where I'm at."
