Inspiring Women Submission by Lydia Noll

Natalie Ginter has been named the manager of Development and Community Engagement at Owatonna Hospital. With more than 20 years of experience in the health care sector, she will be responsible for managing the hospitalsí philanthropy activities, as well as partnering with area communities and residents to support their vision for health that focuses on environmental changes, policies and more that promote healthy, active living.

Prior to joining Owatonna Hospital, Ginter was the Statewide Health Improvement Program coordinator with Rice County Public Health Department. While there, she was responsible for identifying the health education needs of the community and helping to prevent chronic disease by developing new programs, collaborating with partner agencies, and providing presentations, classes and events in a variety of settings.

Other past experiences include serving as a health educator with Pierce County Public Health Department, working in community health for the City of Faribault and providing nutrition intervention education as a nutritionist with Fairview Ridges Hospital.

Ginter s educational background includes a bachelor of science degree from North Dakota State University and master of science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Ginter is also active in her local volunteer circuit she currently serves as the vice president for United Way of Faribault and as a board member for So How Are the Children (SHAC).
