Liberty Announces 2002 Preseason Schedule
The pre-season will open with two road games, on May 10th vs. the Mystics at Washington, and on May 15th in Houston against the Comets. The pre-season will conclude with a weekend home contest against Houston on Saturday, May 18th.

The Liberty will begin its 2002 regular season campaign on Saturday, May 25 when the team travels to Los Angeles to face the defending WNBA Champion Sparks. The Liberty, which has advanced to the WNBA Championship three times, will open at home on Sunday, June 2, against the Miami Sol, in a rematch of last year's first round Eastern Conference playoffs. The 12:00 p.m. game will be televised on NBC. Last season, the Liberty won a franchise record 21 games, while also leading the league in attendance, averaging more than 15,000 fans a game.
