After Erin Thorn goes down early in the third quarter with an ankle sprain, the Liberty's leading reserve scorer explodes off the bench and makes a key play by picking off an in-bounds pass, nets two points and gets the foul with three tenth's of a second left in the quarter. Battle goes on to score a game-high 18 points. Her free throws with nine seconds remaining in the game secures New York's 76-73 victory over the Sun.
|Erin Thorn's Buzzer Beater vs. Detroit Shock|
August 12, 2007
No stranger to buzzer beaters (having notched two in one game in 2006), the Liberty's young veteran evens the season series at 2-2 against its toughest Eastern Conference rival.
