In its first back-to-back of the summer, the Liberty will hit the road for the first time since coming back from the Olympic hiatus ... Friday night will be game three of the season series against the Shock ... Detroit captured the first victory of the season series on May 25 in Motown, but New York evened the score by pulling away with a 10-point win at The Garden on July 12 ... The Liberty will see a revised Shock roster to face off against on this trip, as Plenette Pierson is still sidelined by her multiple game suspension and will for the third time this summer play against veteran Taj McWilliams-Franklin ... Going into Friday's game, New York is packing its longest road win streak of the season at three games, while Detroit has lost three straight at The Palace.

Carson's skill set boasts a tremendous defense and the Liberty will need her to put the pressure on Detroit's go-to ... New York has shown it can keep pace with the Bad Girls and should make certain not to let their physical nature intefere with their game plan to stay atop the Eastern Conference standings heading into the final leg of the summer.
